Setting up a PMO

Setting up a project management office, assuming the size of your PM community justifies it, is the primary way to support the entire project management function. One of the many roles of a PMO is to ensure consistency and uniformity in the way projects are carried out, which in itself means that it must take responsibility for overseeing the implementation of new practices, processes and use of new tools.

Mentoring

After the training is over and the experts gone, why not continue to have the new practices and processes supported by your own mentors, responsible for the on-going support of these to the trained community and cascading them down to all project team members and new staff.

Coaching

There may be a small number of Project Managers you have earmarked to be the leaders within the PM community, or perhaps to take on the more challenging role of Programme Managers, and wish to provide them with specialised coaching. Alternatively, there might also be some who are not grasping the new PM concepts as quickly as others and who would therefore benefit from additional coaching. ESI consultants are available for this more focused approach and bring with them up-to-date experience from the field which they can use to clearly demonstrate all concepts and tools.

Workshops

Using our world class project management consultants, we can deliver a range of specifically tailored workshops designed to achieve many objectives. Such workshops might be specifically for the coaching of mentors; getting senior management, project sponsors and stakeholders to understand their roles & responsibilities in supporting projects, the new processes and practices, and the project managers themselves; or perhaps to provide additional training in an area identified as being of most importance within the companies PM function.
